GROUP RUNNING & WALKING
The Training Studio’s mission is to attract individuals of all fitness levels to the sport of running. Whether you run for general fitness or are training to reach a personal best in your next race, come join us every Saturday.
This program is designed for those interested in the unique concept of team camaraderie. Join us for friendly competition in several different local and/or national races. We welcome every ability levels, from walkers to competitive athletes. Our 2010 group run/walk program is an annual membership that runs from 1/9/10–4/24/10 then resumes 6/5/10 – 11/20/10.
Members receive the following:
- An organized route established each week, with mile markers, arrows, water stops and snacks/refreshments afterwards.
- Pace groups will be provided to ensure that everyone has social support along the way.
- Speed workouts @ Waggener High School (Tuesday evenings @ 7:30 pm) in conjunction with Ken Combs Running Store.
- High tech, wicking team shirt
- Weekly correspondence via the Training Studio website blog.
- Detailed maps of each training route posted weekly in the blog.
- Post race celebration
A Spring and Fall marathon/half marathon will be designated for the group to travel and participate in together. The routes and distances of the weekly runs will be based on a general training schedule as these races approach. This highly coveted program is limited to 150 participants. CUSTOMIZED RUNNING INSTRUCTION
Introductory Race Package
Every runner can reach their full potential through proper motivation and accountability. This package is designed around that theory, and customizes individual running intensities according to current fitness levels. Arrive at the starting line healthy and confident.
- One 1 hour initial consultation to discuss your goals and help establish your current fitness level.
- Unlimited email access
- One monthly phone conversation (up to 30 min.) to discuss training progress as well as any challenges faced. ( Total of 1 per month, based on a 16-week schedule)
- Comprehensive running schedule
- Individual paces for each daily workout
PACKAGE COST $80
*Additional coaching/consultation is available on an hourly basis with a minimum of 1 hour. Rate is $40/hour.

Premier Race Package
Whether you want to reach a PR in a 5K, place in the top of your age group in a half-marathon or marathon, proper balanced training is essential. The Premier Package will ensure that you safely reach your goal. Through close communication and constant training adaptation, you will see your running fitness improve right up until race day!

- One weekly phone conversation (up to 30 min.) to discuss training progress as well as any challenges faced. (Based on a 16-week schedule)
- Comprehensive Individualized running schedule
- Individual paces for each daily workout
- Specific Speedwork Plans based on adaptations within training program
- Recovery plan for post race day
- Assessment of running efficiency
PACKAGE COST $250
