Questions we get a lot

If yours isn’t here, call the studio on (502) 893-4024 or ask during a free consultation. We’d rather answer it properly than have you guess.

Getting started

I haven’t trained in years. Am I going to be the least fit person in the room?

No, and it’s the most common thing people say before they start. Most of our members came to us after a long break, an injury, or a doctor’s appointment that got their attention. Sessions cap at twelve people and every movement is coached and scaled to you, so you’re working at your level rather than someone else’s. If you’re brand new we’ll usually start you in Kickstart: eight private 30-minute sessions over four weeks, one-on-one, before you join a class.

Do I have to do the Kickstart Program first?

It’s recommended, not required. Kickstart is $330 for eight 30-minute private sessions over four weeks, plus a membership to both studios while you’re in it. It teaches you the movements our programmes are built on, so you walk into your first class already knowing what you’re doing.

What should I wear to my first session?

Whatever you’d normally train in, plus athletic shoes. Bring water. There’s nothing else you need to buy.

What actually happens in a session?

A warm-up, a strength or cardio block, and a cool-down with stretching. Across a week the programming rotates through high-intensity intervals, mobility, power, pure strength and cardiovascular work: squats, pushes, pulls, carries, rowing, kettlebells, TRX and plyometrics. One-on-one Executive sessions run 55 minutes.

How training works here

How big are the classes?

Twelve people maximum, and every session is coached start to finish. We don’t offer walk-in workouts. There is no unsupervised floor time in either studio.

I’m 65 with a joint replacement. Is this for me?

Yes, and it is one of the things we’re known for. Coach Stacey has two hip replacements of her own and has spent years of continuing education on training adults through and after joint replacement. Locally, she’s the person people get sent to for it. Every movement is modified to what your body can do today.

Do you have someone who can help with nutrition?

Yes. Coach Dale Benedict, our founder, holds Precision Nutrition Level 1 and runs our nutrition consults. A one-hour consult is $100 and you leave with a written Precision Nutrition work-up. Several of our other coaches hold Precision Nutrition Level 1 as well, so it comes up on the floor too.

What is a Fit3D body scan?

A contactless 3D scan that takes under sixty seconds. You and your coach get a report within five minutes covering weight, body composition, body-fat percentage, measurements, posture and balance, plus a 3D avatar and a Comparison Overlay showing exactly how your body has changed since the last scan. Included free with every active monthly membership; $55 per scan for non-members.

Membership and pricing

What’s included with a membership?

Unlimited Get Fit & Stay Fit sessions, twenty-plus a week across both studios, plus two Fit3D body scans every month at no extra cost. There is no joining fee and no per-location upcharge.

Can I try a class before I commit?

Yes. Your first Get Fit & Stay Fit class is free, with no card required. If you’d rather talk first, the thirty-minute consultation is free too.

Can I switch between programs?

Yes. Plenty of members move between Get Fit & Stay Fit and Premiere as their schedule or goals change. Talk to your coach and we’ll sort it out.

Locations and hours

Which location should I go to?

Whichever is closer. Your membership covers both. We’re at 1301 Frankfort Avenue (labelled “Downtown” on the schedule) and 161 St. Matthews Avenue, Suite #11. Class times differ between the two, so check the schedule.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 5:00 am to 8:30 pm. Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Both studios.

If your question isn’t on this page, a free consultation is the fastest way to get it answered by a coach, properly.

How it starts

  1. Reach out. Book a free thirty-minute consultation at whichever studio is closer.
  2. We map it. A coach asks what you’re after and recommends a first session, or four weeks of Kickstart.
  3. Train for real. Coached, capped at twelve, scaled to you. Then you decide.
